Eligibility

Age Eligibility Requirement
The maximum eligible age for each post is as below.

Relaxation in Age Limit

Educational Qualification
Candidates should have passed 12th Standard or its equivalent educational qualification for applying for SSC Stenographer Post.
All the Mark List and proof of Educational Qualifications Should be submitted during the document verification. Failure to submit the required documents might lead to cancellation of candidature.
SSC Stenographer Recruitment: Online Application Link

The following documents are required for application.
- Valid E-Mail ID and Mobile Number
- The Scanned Copy of following Documents
- Photograph – JPEG/JPG format (20 KB to 50 KB) with a resolution of 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height).
- signature- Scanned signature should be in JPEG/JPG format (10 to 20 KB). with dimension 4.0 cm (width) x 2.0 cm (height).
Correction in Online Application
The SSC provides two day window between 24-08-2023 and 25-08-2023 for making any correction in the Application submitted by the candidate.
But the modification can be done two times during the period. Thus it is advisable to make sure all the data is correct before submitting the application.
The Charges for making Correction is as below
- First Time Correction – Rs. 200 /-
- Second Time Correction – Rs. 500 /-
SSC Stenographer Selection Process
The Selection Process for SSC Stenographer is done in Two Stages.
- Computer Based Examination
- Skill Test
1. Computer Based Examination
The Computer Based Examination consists questions from following Subjects. The Questions are Objective Type.
There is Negative Mark equal to 1/3 of the Mark for the respective question.
2. Skill Test
The Candidates Passing the Computer Based Examination on the next stage is tested for the skill on stenographer.
The candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English or Hindi (as opted in the online Application Form). The test is at the speed of 100 words per minute (w.p.m.) for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and 80 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘D’.
