The maximum eligible age BEL Probationary Officer/ Engineer is as below.
- The maximum Age for the post of Probationary Engineer /E-II and Probationary Officer (HR) /E-II is 25 Years (As on 01-09-2023)
- For the post of Probationary Accounts Officer / E-II the maximum age of the candidate should be 30 years as on 01-09-2023.

- First class in B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc Engineering Graduate from AICTE approved Colleges in Electronics / Electronics and Communication / Electronics & Telecommunication / Communication / Telecommunication / Mechanical / Computer Science / Computer Science and Engineering.
- Probationary Officer
- UR / OBC (NCL) / EWS candidates with first class in MBA/MSW/PG Degree / PG Diploma (Two years) in Human Resources Management /Industrial Relations / Personnel Management from AICTE approved Colleges/Universities.
- SC/ST/PwBD candidates with Pass class in the above degree / disciplines are eligible to apply.
- Probationary Account Officer
- Pass class in CA/CMA Final from The institute of Chartered Accountant of India / The Institute of Cost Accountant of India.

BEL Probationary Officer/ Engineer Recruitment Selection Process
The Selection Process for BEL Probationary Officer/ Engineer has two Stages as below.
- Computer Based Test
- Interview
The candidates are selected based on the performance in both the Computer Based test and Interview.
Computer Based Test
The computer-based test consists of objective type questions from Engineering/ HR/ Finance subjects as applicable, in the respective disciplines / specializations and General Aptitude.
The candidates will be shortlisted to the interview based on the performance on the computer based test.
The minimum qualification marks in the test as below.
- For General /OBC (NCL)/EWS & ESM – 35%
- For SC/ST/PwBD – 30%
2. Interview
The candidates who are qualified from the Computer Based test will be called for an Interview. The candidate’s performance on both the Test and Interview is the basis for selection of the candidate.
Thus, the final selection will be based on the performance in both the test and Interview.
Other Important Instructions
- The Vacancy Details might change in future as per requirement during the final selection.
- Have additional physical copy of passport size photograph uploaded in the application for future requirement.
- Take a copy of the Application and Payment Receipt upon the final submit of the application for future reference.
- The selected candidates will undergo training for 6 months. Moreover, the selected candidates must stay in service for the duration of 3 years.
